the only thing like AC/DC is the guitar, and vocals some what. But Rock has always had gravely singers! Krokus are more metal then AC/DC. Mark is a better singer too.

I listened to Krokus, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and Judas Priest before I really knew who AC/DC was. I love Bon Scott era AC/DC, but they werent realevant stateside back in 78,79.

Very well stated. Sometimes bands DO sound like others. Some intentionally, some not. And usually you can tell the imitators. and all the bands you mentioned are not imitators. I will add Saxon and the Rod's as 2 more un''imitators. Agreed about a/c d/c stateside. I loved em back in 79 but most people I knew did not dig it. 2-3 yrs later they were all over it.

Good band, saw them at Manchester Apollo circa 1982. (i think) good voice and guitarist, metal rondezvous and hardware easily there best albums...did once skit kiss in a radio interview tho'......bad thing to do..although krokus were a good band, they can't hold a light to kiss , who were easily one of the all time greatest hard rock bands along with ac-dc....

Back then there were all sorts of rumours that they (Krokus) never got on the Donnington bill in 1981 because AC/DC didn't want them on it because of their similarities. If that was true I'd be surprised as AC/DC had no real contenders in 1981. Rush didn't play festivals, possibly Van Halen might have taken some of their thunder
but Krokus? Don't think so.
I used to have this single on red vinyl. It's up in the at tic somewhere. First two albums were good but never an iconic band.
