Gerber EAB: Best Utility Knife Yet?
Dodał: nutnfancy
Opis filmu:
Not many useful advances have been made on the ole Stanley utility knife, a proven design that just works. Oh sure there's been some folding designs that take the same blades but in my experience they are poorly executed with ineffective blade retention, heavy designs, slow deployment, and excessive bulk. Finally someone is getting it right: the Gerber EAB Pocket Knife. It's compact, takes common utility blades, locks them in solidly, and only weighs 2.2 oz! It can't replace your standard EDC knife because it can't do large cutting/slicing tasks like cutting a burger in half. But if cutting a lot of cardboard or carpet is on the menu this knife is an excellent take along and much more portable than the Stanley. Good job Gerber.

to easily retrieve it. Also that Gerber is easy to lose being that small. No extra blade storage either. That stanley knife is 10X better.
lenox, that thing is WAY to small, and a screw? Ill pass
you tried the Milwaukee utility knife?
 a risky maneuver though!
them all day every day. I am now using a dewalt quick release and its ok so far. My opinion on on the gerbers look is not great for heavy use. The entire blade is exposed for no good reason. The handle is small. Which causes hand fatigue. The stanard receesed screw which you mentioned and closin
g it looks sketchy. I hope to find the perfect utility knife one day too but i dont think this is it.
year, then the hinge got sloppy and now it doesnt close squarely and it dulls the blade as it closes.
its just me but i love what has worked for me for years and no failures with the Stanley utility knife ... and also i can keep my spare blades in my Stanley
change the blade... Use this knife everyday, love it...
recommended a blade that was recalled???wow
 isn't omnipotent? Wow.
 to good after tightening.
 tard
 with full size handles.
switch blades i use a penny
if anybody has brought it up but using a dime can do the trick of releasing the blade as well.
 tks for the tip
no play in the joint. i think it's the best of the market right now. it's not slim like the gerber, it's big.
 for construction. wayyyy too flimsy.
 turned out to be threaded.
 thanks.

a Cold Steel AK-47 and a Leatherman Charge or Juice S2. I have never needed a blade larger than a utility blade for daily tasks, and the Charge blade can act as a EDC blade if need be. I do enjoy sharpening knives, but it is nice to know I don't have to worry about cutting cardboard or carpet wi
th my EDC. Great blade and have gifted it several times - a win.
